An escalating staff shortage—especially of experienced nurses—is having a devastating effect on public health care across the country. Privatization isn’t the solution; for-profit care pulls vital staff out of the public system, leading to reduced services and longer wait times. In this federal election, we have a choice: invest in a stronger public system, or risk deepening the crisis.
